Turbine XL Oil
DESCRIPTION:
Turbine XL Oil is a premium, ashless hydraulic, turbine and circulating oil with rust and
oxidation (R&O) inhibitors. This oil is formulated with top quality base oils and an
additive system specifically designed for use in turbines and moderate duty gear box
applications.
Turbine applications require the oil to provide excellent lubricating
and cooling properties along with protection against rust, corrosion and deposits. Many
speed reducing, moderate duty gear boxes, require heavier viscosity grades with R&O
inhibitors to protect against gear tooth scuffing and high temperature oxidation. These
gear sets will typically call for a viscosity grade of ISO 100 or higher.
The base oils and additives used in Turbine XL Oil are selected to
provide superior oxidation and thermal stability, excellent rust and corrosion inhibition,
reduced foam with rapid release of entrained air and fast water separation or
demulsibility.
Turbine XL Oil will meet the demand of long drain intervals that are
recommended in many turbine and gear box applications. This product is very stable in the
presence of moisture, and water will not significantly affect its filterability.
APPLICATION:
Turbine XL Oils are recommended for turbine lubrication, for some industrial gear box
applications (as permitted by manufacturer),and some hydraulic applications that do not
require anti-wear (AW) performance.
Turbine XL Oil meets or exceeds the following manufacturers' performance
levels:
- Abex Denison HF-1
- Cincinnati Milacron P-38, P-45, P-54,P55, P-57, P-62
- DIN 51524, Part 1
- MIL-L-17672C
- AFNOR E-48600 HL
- U.S. Steel 126
- ASTM D-943 Oxidation Test: Exceeds 2000 Hours
- ASTM D-665 Rust Test: Pass
FEATURES & BENEFITS:
Rust and corrosion preventing properties provide
extended equipment life
Effective antifoam agents reduce air entrainment and
enhance the release of air, therefore improving lubrication and reducing oxidation
Superior oxidation and thermal stability provide
longer fluid life and the capability to withstand higher temperatures
Rapid demulsibility encourages water to separate from
the oil while in the reservoir and not be carried along with the lubricant

HEALTH & SAFETY:
A complete Material Safety Data Sheet is available upon request. Used oil contains
by-products which may be harmful. Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact. Wash clothing
and exposed areas with soap and water. Don't pollute - return used oil to a collection
center.
